Tribological aspects of nano-particle fluid based cooling and lubrication in milling process

Abstract The introduction of different additives into the cooling and lubrication systems in metal cutting process, contributed to improving machining process sustainability. Different types can help reduce friction, wear contact surfaces, improve heat dissipation from zone, etc. With development nanotechnology, great focus has been placed on investigation using nano-particles, nano-additives nanofluids industry. In this paper, effects nano-particle based fluid are investigated. There performed comparison standard fluids versus performance. Molybdenum disulphide particles used as which dispersed a fluid. As workpiece was alloyed tool steel. Milling performance indicators analysed Taguchi experimental plan, for condition parameters. Cutting forces component three perpendicular axes, machined surface parameters were measured. Experimental analysis shown that use mixed fluid, significantly contributes reduction forces, friction coefficients, more efficient generation surfaces.
